After reading multiple posts, still trying to match what fits best.

I will be crabbing very soon in NC., at an area I crabbed this past June

Last June, I would steam and immediately clean 8 - 12 crabs, refrigerating bottom shell (claws, legs, backfin) in quality zip-locks. Did this twice per day for 3 days. I transported the cooked and cleaned crabs home and then picked and made crabcakes. The meat quality was good.

This time, I will be staying longer, so I will be trying to keep them fresh for 10 days to 2 wks. before making the crabcakes. Should I pick the meat and freeze it daily, or just do what I did previously (or something else)? Your opinion is much appreciated.

Not sure of the best way, but that is what I would do. I don't have a vac sealer, so when I freeze anything I wrap it in tin foil to try and keep the freezer burn to a minimal.

I would pick and freeze but maybe not daily based on the number of crabs u get per day.  You can cook  then pick the next day or two to package enough to make cakes later. I wouldnt  keep them cooked more then a day or two without picking and freezing the meat.
