Feel free to move this post if there is a more appropriate forum...I have been looking for chicken necks close to home since the tackle shops down where I crab in Ventnor/margate area seem to think raw chicken will kill you and get offended when I ask if they stock it...I found the Shady maple farmers market in Lancaster county PA stocks 40lb cases.  It's a bit expensive but I can't make it to any of the other distributors in time after work so it works for me.  I had them put 20lbs aside for me and was quoted a price of $.89/lb.  I think it was closer to $.50/lb if I bought a 40lb case.  Tempting...but if I want any other frozen food in my fridge 20lbs is my limit.

Crab on!

The price in north eastern MD is generally about 30$ for a 40 lb case. A real good deal is 25$ if you can find it. Don't know where to get them in PA though, sorry.

I can never seem to make it to Moyer-Mitchell before they close.  I leave from work at 4:30pm to go down the shore.  I'm set now though.  FYI- 20lbs of chicken necks equals around 200 necks.  I may have over bought for this season Smiley

I just bought a 40lb box for $28.00 from Harford Crabbing and Tackle. It's in MD,  3404 Conowingo Road
Street, Maryland 21154  They are open 7 days a week, from 8-5 PM. I'm from the Coatesville area. I just drive down and buy a box. Takes me an 1hr to get there. It fits in my freezer. We tried every where local and could not find any.
