Hi Steve:
That Mars Market, is that something like the Turkey Hill that we have up here, one on every corner? I might run a trot-line this year I haven't decided yet. This stupid weather has me down!

Thanks Steve.

Evenrude130:

I used to get them at a supplier that was called Banner foods but they went out of business. I'll find them someplace though. I want to bait and freeze them so it won't be too much work when it comes time to go crabbing.
Thanks for the information EVENRUDE130 it is a good idea i'll check it out!

I really had no idea it would be so hard to buy a couple cases of chicken necks.
I am glad that I started early before the season for crabbing started.
I certainly do appreciate all the trouble that you guys are going through to try and help me.
I am certain that I will get the bait that I need for the up-coming season, if I just keep on trying.
I don't want to drive 60 or 80 miles, I would like to buy local if I can. One store here wants 1.00 a pound  Huh Huh

AGAIN  THANKS VERY MUCH GUYS FOR YOUR HELP !

A little bit or a ride for you, but also probably close to the way you'll probably will pass to crab.

http://richardsonfarms.net/

Thought just came to my mind, Capt. Bruce sells bulk chicken necks and most of anything else needed. Quite a shorter drive as he's in North East.

Weis acquired Mars  in MD. Maybe contact Weis( I see 2 are close to you), they may be able to help you out. It's worth a phone call to them. Might get that price you want.   Probably not a big market for CN's in Lancaster.

By the way, I've set up a line with CN, I find baiting the night before is a better deal for me. Laying it out unfrozen is easier.  Sometimes when it's partially frozen can create problems laying out the line. Wear gloves, frozen CN can cut your hand.

Had it happen, believe it or not. Gloves from then on. Remember now, the CN is on the line while setting it out. That's why I mentioned better to have the CN unfrozen. [Sam Hill], ice will cut you with sharp edge.
