Hello friends,
I headed out to the pier and culvert area on river rd about 6 am . I wanted to get there earlier but my sleepy head kept telling me 5 more minutes  ;) . I dropped in a few ring nets and a few hand lines baited with chicken necks , it was a out going tide.  Between 7:30 and 12pm  I caught about 16 medium sized jimmies and 6 keeper females. I also caught a bunch of smaller ones to small to keep!
Around 12:15 I moved further south towards the culverts.  I dropped in some ring nets and 1 large trap, from 12:45 to 2:30 I caught a additional 18 crabs .... ;D
It was a beautiful day to be out crabbing and I was blessed  to have caught enough  to steam up ..  ;D ;D ;D Here are a few pics. Good luck !!

Been waiting to read some reposts like yours. Hope everyone has a great year crabbing with the results you posted. Nothing like eating steamed crabs .

I took a drive around to see if I could find anyone crabbing. First I went down to the Oak Hill flea market and drove on to Goodriches culvert. I met TootallPaul who had just arrived and was setting up. Real nice fella and it was my great pleasure to meet you! I'm sure we will meet again and I await your report.
I left the culvert area and drove around the corner to meet a young family crabbing the slough further south. They explained they had been crabbing for about two hours and their young son explained proudly they had caught 16  crabs! I looked at  the crabs caught and most were in the 4.5 to 5.5 inch range with a couple of 6+" crabs also.
Just a perfect day for crabbing with low humidity, a great temperature in the 70's and the water is warming up!
Everyone is catching more crabs than myself as I haven't been out once yet!
