Hello friends,
I headed out to the pier on River rd and arrived around 7am. It  was 49° and low tide when I arrived. I tossed out my ring nets and several hand lines baited with chicken necks. It was slow for an hour or so, then the tide started to change and it picked up Smiley.  I caught a total of 11 jimmies that ranged about 5- 5 1/2" and as usual a bunch of smaller one I threw back.
Around 12pm I packed everything up and moved about 100 yards to the south where the culverts are . I was getting my big pot ready to throw in , when a gentleman walked up and was checking out the area.  We talked for a while and come to find out he was none other than Shellfish  from this forum. Shellfish it was a pleasure meeting you and it was great meeting someone on this forum. Grin . I'm sure we will see each other again.  I threw in my big pot and then a couple ring nets . I crabbed for a couple more hours and caught another 7 jimmies and 2 sooks and I small stone crab  Grin Grin. Two weeks in a row I have caught enought to steam up Wink. I think it's going to be a good year!!! Here's a few pics.  Good luck and hope to see y'all out there!!

Wally, It was great to meet you too! Always great to see people crabbing in the area. I told you my wrong screen name but you got it correct for the post!
I am bogman on other fishing forums.  I am sure you enjoyed the crabs you got!    I just spoke to a crabbing friend from Virginia who was in the area last week. He crabbed the culverts during the week and got three dozen crabs.
The full moon is on the 11th; just a couple days away and hopefully many of the crabs will molt and increase their size. Give them a couple weeks after that to fill out their meat and hopefully the game will be on!     Jim
