Took my son out on a beautiful Sunday morning.  Went North of Discover's trip a bit and pushed the salt line to see what was around.  1200' line with necks and every 5th bait was frozen razor clams.  6-10' of water on incoming tide.  Tons of crabs on line but mostly small and light.  Kept 3 dozen over 5.25" up to 6.25".  Took a few breaks on the banks and my son had fun rooting through the washed up debris.  Even found a hardhat which he fell in love with.  Quality of crabs was pretty dissapointing.  Second guessing myself as to why I did not go to Chesapeake.  It was nice to stay close to home for once though.  Great morning in the water.

The frozen clams destroyed the necks.  By far caught the biggest and most keepers.  Very obvious all morning.  They were still on them 3 hours in.

Nice report. Catching 3 dozen crabs is a good trip. And your boy looks like he had a great time.

Thanks for sharing.

Your son looks very happy, new hat, catching crabs, and is that a candy bar in his hand? Thanks for sharing your trip. Great pics.

I don't.  I have leftovers everytime I purchase a half or whole bushel of live and hate throwing them away so I freeze and use them.

Thanks for the post .   Looks like your son had a great time .  Smiley maybe a few more weeks ,  this time last year they were here... of course we didn't have 8 inches of rain in july last year either .  i'm hoping to get out this weekend and try.

The outgoing has been producing a lil better quality in 3' -5'. We were out on Saturday and got beat up to say the least, took on water the whole time.  Thanks for the report.
