Sewage Spill in Cox Creek Kent Island

Contractor digging near Cox Creek ruptured a main sewage pipe. Spill ran into Cox Creek. There is a warning not to swim, or crab for 48 hours or until further notice. Thompson Creek is also part of Cox Creek system.

Why not eat the crabs for 48 hours? No different than eating them from the Patapsco!

Good point, but being safe is the only way to go with sewage spills. As for the Patapsco, I crabbed off FT Howard and Old Road Bay as a kid. Right next to the Steel mill, I'm still alive and mostly healthy, LOL. Those Inner Harbor crabs would be the ones I would pass on.
Man, years ago, Gov. Schaefer made a comment that made many folks on the Eastern Shore upset, he did apologize eventually.

Patapsco River is three or four times as deep as Cox Creek.
Anyway sewage isn't the big problem with the Patapsco, carcinogens are. Baltimore Copper, Sparrows Point and Wagner Point to name a few places the problem was released from..
Water volume makes a difference when you are diluting sewage.
