Chris, it's a closed system, with a 55 gallon drum oystershell bio filter. We haul waater from our creek and pump it round and round. No problems in the past to speak of , just have to change most of the water after an extended amount of time . No problems now but i have an oportunity to get more peelers then i normaly would so iwaant toknow if there's a limit due to spaceand volume.

Yes, sounds like your about at your limit with what you currently have. I'm surprised you haven't had any stills yet.

I had 147 in mine last week. My nitrites started to go up, did a 50% water change and it helped. I got about 70 or so left and have had 11 stills.

I put 75 in last nite and expect more today, i always haul up extra water and leave it in a 55 drum covered. After heavy rain last evening the tank is xtra full and i will dump some this evening and add back with creek water. Had about 3 stills last nite but the crabs i got were stressed somewhat due to the amount of time they were not in water. I have some stills now in the frig and i know i will have more and will try to sell for fresh fish bait so i don't have to freeze them
