Hey I was wondering if I am licensed and other members of my household are licenses and I have proof of my license as well as their licenses can I check their pots?  I am going to have the pots up to reg as well as the buoys with all the appropriate information.

Looks like he's in Delaware.  I'm pretty sure that in MD it is illegal to fish other's pots even if you have written authorization from the owner to do so.

I asked Delaware fish and wildlife this question and got the answer I was looking for.  Without the licenses person being present it is illegal and a fine of $107 with court costs.   My grandmother has been bugging me about crabs and my commercial crabber friend is selling old traps for $2 a piece so I was going to get a couple for her and tend them.
