Used to crab Barneget bay until mid oct. sometimes. I now crab the Nav. pretty much exclusively. I know it depends on weather water temp etc, but on average, how late can you crab until? Mid or late Oct?? Any help would be appreciated. I want to get my kids out one more time.

Each year is different, but usually at least to mid October and sometimes to the beginning of Dec. As it gets later into the fall, sometimes you have to look around more and find just the right spot. I've never crabbed the Navesink, later than the 1st week of Nov., but I've heard of some good reports through late November some years.

Last year the crabs went in the mud on November 22 .. they were in and out until that date.. you will always have November Crabs, just how far into November is the answer..
