Indian River Blue Gold...

So my crabbing report is no report. I said I'd post so I didn't want to be a liar. Terrible wind coming from the Inlet and extra hi tides, can't even get out. Our boat dock is under probably 8"-10" of water and the river has rollers worse than I've seen all year. Drove down thru Oak Orchard yesterday just to see what Rosedale looked like & had to detour 3 times since the incoming tide was rolling up thru the yards and into the streets. You could see the current in the streets, and it was still over an hour from hi tide! Most docks were either under water or all but. Some moring poles couldn't even be seen. Boards floating from piers and even boats on lifts had water slapping the bottom of them. So, we'll try again next weekend & hope for a hail mary run. Oh, and Friday the 13th probably isn't helping either!  Angry Lips Sealed Cry

Pics - 1st is from my car probably 30' from the stop sign;
2nd is the lot at Rosedale;
3rd is the gazebo at Rosedale;
4th is the actual ramp(or lack of);
Last is 1 of the marinas in White House

I have never seen the ramp look anything like that before.  That's crazy.

Mother Nature can be like that. Living on the water front is a great life when Mother Nature acts right. But when She let's loose with storms and storm conditions, living inland has it's benefits.

Thanks for sharing .

Nice pictures, I've seen water on the road headed to Massy's Landing launch and on a flood tide the whole area straight out from the ramp was ALL under water with a N E wind driving the tide even higher, Needless to say I did not launch that day.  That is just Mother Nature's finest hour !

THANKS FOR THE REPORT & GREAT PICT'S !    Shocked Shocked Shocked
