So I went hunting Sept. 23rd. It was a nice morning. I was looking to shoot a doe. I was going to shoot the first good sized doe that came around. I saw a few small bucks that I let walk and a doe showed up at 8am. She took some time to get into range but kept looking behind her. She settled down and she was giving me a great broad side shot. I draw back and settle my pin on her and let the arrow fly. She took off and I could see it looked like a good shot. I get down about an hour later and find blood right away. I follow the blood and it went about 60 yards and dropped.  I wanted to get a deer in the freezer before October. I spend most of October fishing and crabbing. I wait for the rut to start before I get back in the woods. I put out some corn and had over 1000 pics in 2 days. I have one good shooter and a possible shooter on camera this year. My friend that hunts down the steet sent me a picture of a buck with a drop tine. His stand is around 500 yards away so the buck should come over to my stand as well.

That was a well placed shot on that doe.  Nice looking bucks on the trail cam.  I'm looking to get back out there sometime. Just so many activities to do and not enough time. My golf game has sucked this year because of fishing and crabbing. Plus I haven't even been in the woods but a couple of times.

I only hunt the first 2 maybe 3 weeks after opening day. I hunt for a big buck the first 2 or 3 days I can get out. Then I shoot the first good doe. Then I stay out of the woods until the rut starts. I spend my time crabbing and fishing. I will be hunting bucks again until the rut is over. Then I will take a few more does out. Good luck to everyone hunting the rut!

I have not golfed in like 2 years. I will start golfing again next spring.
