Me and the bride arrived at the pier at 930 am.Tide was dead low,we deployed 7 handlines and 2 topless traps baited with chicken necks Two other crabbers had been at it since 6 am with only one keeper. After a low temp of 35 degrees the sun warmed the day with a stiff SW wind. Not one crab would be caught until 145 pm.a nice 6 inch male.Hoping things would pick up we stayed until 3 pm with nothing more. This is a record for least crabs caught. One thing to note was that the water was clear, chilly and low,you could see the chicken bait on the bottom even at high tide. Will give it another try this year. Took the wife out to lunch for hanging in there all day with me....

At the end of the day, it's not about how many fish or crabs you put in the cooler but about how many memories you put in your life and the lives of your "mates".
