Nice job Gary.  Maybe about few weeks.  Did well in the Sink Friday.  But not the usual November monsters.

Curious where did this come from:
"Heavy males, no Monsters as they all died mid season trying to molt... "  Where did you hear that only large ones all died?  We did have bigger than usual in July.

Frank for 2 seasons in a row, due to mild winters the largest crabs of 2016 and 2017 were caught Mid June to Late July..all the 7" plus crabs from July that tried to molt Died... If they did not die they would all be 8 +   they lived their life cycle   the 5.5 inch crabs that are being caught now have molted twice this season... so the 5.5's going in the mud now will be your 6.75's next june ... the cycle has been offset due to the warm winters... This has been discussed many times.

Wouldn't the 6" crabs that molted become 7" crabs now?  We're not getting any 7"  monsters

shedding normally stops in late august, so whatever you caught in Late August is the biggest of the survivors of the last molt... if we have a cold winter the 5" crabs will molt twice for Oct- Nov. Monsters.....  another mild winter will give us Late July Monsters.  Trust me I know how this works.
