My father-in-law and I put out 800 feet of line baited with chicken necks in water ranging from 5 to 12 feet where I've had great luck before. Made 5 passes, bupkis. Moved to Little Magothy, put down 600 feet, and caught ... one juvenile male, as shocked as we were, and quickly liberated to rejoin his friends. This season we've enjoyed 4 or 5 really good runs, each hitting a bushel of keepers, so I am not complaining. But the season looks over to me, at least where I'm trotlining. However, would love to end the year with one more bushel somewhere before the cold really sets in...

At least you made an effort. I quit several weeks ago. Nice try.
