Little late sorry Embarassed Embarassed...Hit the Shrews with Moe crabs on Thursday,we did not want to go out on Friday.Had about 25 topless with drum sticks.Started setting our lines around 7am. They lied about the wind but we did our best.Changed spots a couple of times.Lots of grass, not one spider and just a few ladies.Ended the day with almost 2 bushels...Thanks Moe for making me drive the boat, pains in my arms are starting to get the best of me...
Yep... so in my case the fat lady is singing a great tune and my 2017 season is history...

Had a great season and thanks to my fantastic friends who invited me to crab on their boats...you guys are the greatest....

Enjoy your catch and it sounds like Moe needs to do a little work on his steering cable during the off season if your arms are sore.  Grin

My first trip of this year was solo with a bad steering cable and all I can say is "Never Again."

Jerry it was a pleasure to have you to crab with. We did OK. Would of been nice if the crabs were bigger but we got some nice ones. Lot of smaller crabs today. That's the way its been the last few weeks. One time you get bigger crabs the next time there smaller. On a good note they are full and sweet.I am going to give it one more try this week. Might have to put all the clothes I own on but I'm going to give it a shot.Water temp. was 51 and went all the way up to 52 but they were biting. We have a few more degrees to play with.  Just a few pictures of the day. Jerry i made your recipe for the Garlic Crabs. Needless to say they were a hit.My wife loved them.
