Followed 2 other friends in their boats to a new area I haven't fished before.  7 fishermen in all.  Everyone caught their limit of 25 each. Pretty darn good day.

Saturday my son and his girlfriend wanted to go crabbing.  Went to my old spot in the MRGO.  2 little crabs.  Water turning cooler so the crabs went deep.  Then took them fishing.  We kept 11 bass, 3 reds and 2 specs.  We cleaned the 2 day catch and I cooked the bass and 1 red.  (redfish on the half shell)

At the end of the day, it's not about how many fish or crabs you put in the cooler but about how many memories you put in your life and the lives of your "mates".

Well not every day goes like that one.  Today my buddy Nickey and I went to the same place and struck out.  We only caught 7 fish in that area. So at noon we picked up and went to another spot closer to home.  Little better.  I believe we ended up with 13 specs, 2 bass and 1 red.  But we fished from sun up to sunset.  Not the best day but the weather was beautiful.
