Weather people called for snow to start at 3am but when we woke up at 5am no snow. Get up in the tree and still no snow.  >:( I am thinking did they get it totally wrong again? But right after 8am we see the first snow flakes. It is steady snowing while we are in the stand. I saw around 18 deer but only a spike came writhin range and he gets a free pass for a few more years from me. My cousin only saw 1 deer all morning and that was like 150 yards away. A big group of does was headed towards him until they spooked and went the other way. The only think I could think was they smelled where I walked in and took off. But I did not think they where that close to my path. We will be headed back out around 2. The evening hunt is always better so hoping he gets his first deer tonight.

Here I York Co PA I also expected to go out in the snow but I was also in the stand thinking it wasn't going to happen. Snow started at 8:45 and the deer didn't show till 10:50, got a 97 lb doe with the 30:06 to finish the PA gun season. That with the 6 point from DE will be enough meat for us.

The evening was slow. I thought we would see a bunch of deer in the evening with the snow but we did not see much until about half hour until dark. My cousin had a chance at an 8 pointer but got busted trying to drawl back. I shot a deer but I think I hit a branch. I could not find my arrow with all the snow. But the way the deer left it did not look like it was hit. I will try again tomorrow evening.

Wife and daughter were in the stands Saturday evening.  Saw nothing but someone the next property over got one.  You couldn't help but know.  They were screaming in the woods trying to find it and then they must have found it after 45 minutes of whooping and hollering spooking everything within 3 counties.  The next 20 minutes was celebrating and cussing on how to get it out of the woods.   >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I'm sure it killed my wife and daughters chances.  Not a thing came into the cams until almost 9pm.  So far, all bucks have been accounted for except the 11pt and he only shows occasionally anyways.  Just got 3 pics at 7:30 this morning of a new wide 6pt I have never seen on our cams.

That is annoying to have people that loud. Im guessing they where first time hunters and no one told them how to do it correctly. I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have a hunting license.

Definitely annoying.  To the point they were ready to get out of the trees early.  They stuck it out but saw nothing.

That doesn't sound to optimistic for that 11pt. Whooping and hollaring?

I was thinking the same thing.  The only thing I think would be the caveat is they don't get big by being stupid and he was pretty nocturnal for my sites.  I'm hoping he shows soon.

I hope so, could of been young kids with their first deer, a doe perhaps.

I know I was excited when I shot my first deer.

That is my hope and exactly what I told my wife.  Since I wasn't there, I can't tell you what the voices sounded like.  Also, if it ran down to the creek, I could understand the emotions of having to drag it out of there.  The creek is in a deep ravine and on that side, it is worse than our side.  The creek is the  real close to the property line.  I have drug 3 of them out of that creek.  They run down there and don't have the strength to run up the other side in my opinion.
