I took advantage of yesterday's break in the weather pattern to R&R  and go fishing.  Weather temps were in the upper 30's at the marina in Point Judith  RI at 5:00am . Shocked   Jumped on the Frances Fleet cod boat for a pretty comfortable trip  Smiley    Waves and wind were doable for sure and the temps reached the mid 40's by late morning. Fishing however was way off from previous COLD, windy days.  Huh   It was just great to be on the water again though Wink   I did get 1 small cod but what was amazing were the choggies, or bergals, or cunners, whatever you want to call them.   16 inches HuhShocked   THAT  is a legal black fish size gossip  I ate some for dinner last night and they were just like blackfish!  All in all a great day to be alive in January 2018  sunny sunny yes

At the end of the day, it's not about how many fish or crabs you put in the cooler but about how many memories you put in your life and the lives of your "mates".

That sums up your trip. I would love to get out on a charter boat some day and fish in the winter. That's on my bucket list.

Way to go. When I hibernate for winter, I usually don't make an appearance till the end of winter.  As I get older, cold weather is a killer for me, LOL.
Enjoy your fish.
