I took advantage of yesterday's break in the weather pattern to R&R and go fishing. Weather temps were in the upper 30's at the marina in Point Judith RI at 5:00am .

Jumped on the Frances Fleet cod boat for a pretty comfortable trip

Waves and wind were doable for sure and the temps reached the mid 40's by late morning. Fishing however was way off from previous COLD, windy days.

It was just great to be on the water again though

I did get 1 small cod but what was amazing were the choggies, or bergals, or cunners, whatever you want to call them. 16 inches

?

THAT is a legal black fish size

I ate some for dinner last night and they were just like blackfish! All in all a great day to be alive in January 2018
