Sunday was a pretty nice day for Jan. 21 st,   So I jumped the Frances fleet cod boat.  The bite has been off for a few weeks and I didn't expect much.  By 10 am I had a few ocean perch which was dinner for sure. Capt. says ; reel em up we are movin  to look for some cod.  45 min. steam later and I could see 3 other  party boats anchored up within 100 feet of each other.  Uh oh, I said , something is going on!! Huh Huh    We anchored  up and Imediately  almost everyone had a cod on Shocked Shocked Shocked    Two hours later the boat was limited out wit NICE  FAT green cod fish  from 10-25 pounds.  Grin Grin  The limit is ten per person and there was thirty people on board Roll Eyes    All the other head boats limited out too Cheesy   WHAT A DAY to be alive 2thumbsup 2thumbsup 2thumbsup sunny

At the end of the day, it's not about how many fish or crabs you put in the cooler but about how many memories you put in your life and the lives of your "mates".

Nice.  Nothing like when a plan comes together.   Smiley

Now turn that cod into some snow crab and you'll really have it made. Nice catch.

Got to love a day like that and a Captain that knows where to catch fish for his party. Sore arm?

Nice catch.  How far out do you need to go out to catch cod? How long are the trips?

It is about 2 hour steam out to the fishing grounds right now,   trips leave @ 5am and back to port @ 3 pm.  I was home by 4:15 in time to watch both games with tooth picks to hold my eyes open,  LOL
