Awesome pics Jim Wink    Are the stone crabs the same as Jonah Crabs??   I saw the claws for sale @ Big Y  Sunday and they had the black on the claw tips.  At least you don't need to miss the lobstering too much, There aren't any !!!  Can't imagine shrimp that fresh, got to be awesome! Roll Eyes    Might be layed up for a couple minutes, got to get this belly button put back where it used to be Cry.  Had it for a good ten years but last summer got it caught on the cleat of my boat  oops  Now it won't stay in Undecided Undecided     laugh laugh laugh

The Stone Crab claws look very similar to Jonah Crab claws but the get much bigger. The taste is about the same.

   Are they as sweet as blues ?,   do they make good crab cakes?

I think the Blue Crabs are sweeter and I have never tried them for crab cakes. They would make a good crab stuffing so they would probably make a good crab cake too!
