No one can post anything about the Patapsco river without a couple of people that are somewhat regulars making remarks about fecal matter.  To those members i guess it's a state of mind and a fear and i understand and believe that everyone should stay away from this river and never crab there, it's dirty and dangerous and not many crabs if any at all that are not infected.

The Poo-tapsco  laugh

Look at it like this, you wont have to buy any corn or peanuts with your crabs, its already in there.

I may try there this year, hoping to catch the elusive "Stanley Steamer"!

Crab Shack. I hate to tell you this but the pristine Tampa Bay where you reside, isn't exactly "Pristine" According to the Tampa Bay news,29 million gallons of raw sewage + 938 thousand after a power outage  and another 7.3 million gallons of sewage have spilled into  Tampa Bay. Maybe it will come up? www.tampabay.com/news/enviromental/water/tampa-bays-sewage-mess-29-million-gallons-spilled-into-the bay-and-rising/2292477

Well we don't live near Tampa Bay, so for us, the raw sewage flow runs through the Potapsco. It's worse than the Schuylkill River near me. I wouldn't touch a single thing out of either of those rivers without a Hazmat suit and a gallon of disinfectant.
