I  stopped at the North Causeway fishing dock by the Buena Vista Park.
The first two crabbers of the year were there on the south dock with two pyramid traps baited with chicken legs in the water.
They said they haven't been there long but caught several small crabs but only one good crab (A 5.5" female).
There were no crabbers on the north dock; only people fishing.

Thanks for the report!  I have been to this spot multiple times.  It seems to get way to crowded in the spring/summer.  I have encountered some very rude people there as well.  I am definitely going to try to find new spots this year that are more enjoyable.

Yes, The folks there can rarely get a bit unruly but they are usually pretty good at self policing.
They have to be with so many people there!
If not there would be knifings and gunfights every day!

I am not into crowds so I don't go there or any place on weekends.
