I thought I would take a drive around and see if there are any crabs. No, none, zero!
I tried about five different spots and got none! I saw one four inch crab in the water and a fella got one good crab ,
He said he had been there about two hours! Bio.lab road was closed. I guess they are regrading it. Both ends were sealed.
I tried Patillo Creek and Haulover Canal. The fresh drumsticks still look like they just came out of the package I think I'll freeze them for another day. Such is life!

Thanks for the report. Sorry you did not have any luck. I thought they would be consistently running by now. Is it still to early?

They should be picking up in another month. It appears to me to be a little late this year too!
Every year is different. I keep records and the crab sizes and time of year and where they are changes every year.
That kind of surprised me! I thought they would be a lot more consistent.I understand them moving around in response to a climatic event like lots of rain from a hurricane and the crabs needing to find saltier water but the weather has been stable lately. I guess it's just a late spring.
