I just got back from checking the fishing pier and there was a crabber there usng cotton and metal ring nets with chicken drums. He stated he had been there about 1.5 hours and had about a dozen crabs; mostly females. The crabs looked to be about 5.5 inches and he stated there were a lot of throwback females with eggs. I was there this past weekend and there were three crabbers present but they weren't getting much at all!
So maybe the 2018 crabbing season is starting to turn on!  2thumbsup smash thumbsup

Great!  I was there on Sat and only one guy got one crab until we got rained out.
