Fished my favorite inlet again. You got to get a little muddy crabbing the cove that goes off it, but it's worth it. Used big ladyfish chunks I had caught surf fishing as bait. The water had cleaned up. Got there at dead low tide. Caught two dozen nice ones, mostly females, releasing most of the smaller ones and some of the males. Still catching when I left. Not too many with eggs yet. Got one big stone crab. I stood there for a minute or two hesitating, but finally did the right thing and released it. Nothing better than a dinner of big chunks of fresh white crab meat.

Good job!  What kind of boat do you crab from?  I used to live in NJ and crabbed there and Maryland.  Then I had a stroke and moved to FL in the Tampa area.

Thanks for the report and glad you got some!
It's still rather quiet here and not many crabs around.
They should be here by now!
