Not overnight. More like leave 2 of these traps string-attached to my stake (pvc pipe) for about 20 minutes while i do my usual chicken/string/net approach. I would check every so often if crabs are inside.
Although if you look at the picture above, there are 2 cull rings on the top of the cage.
One thing I want to point out is that this is like a "cage".
Top/bottom and all 4 sides are closed with 4 one-way doors.
So I want to make sure this is considered a trap/pot.
It does not really collapse while doing crabbing.
It does collapse (flattens down) after you are done crabbing so you can save space when storing it.

Are you leaving this pot in the water "unattended" or using it as a hand line pull trap?
If you are leaving it in the water over night it will need Cull rings
* A recreational crab pot must have at least two unobstructed cull rings at least 2 3/8 inches inside diameter cullrings located one each in opposite exterior side panels of the upper chamber of the pot; except on seaside of Accomack & Northampton Counties where each pot must have two cull rings: one cull ring at least 2 5/16 inches inside diameter and another at least 2 3/16 inches inside diameter located one each in opposite exterior side panels of the upper chamber of the pot [4 VAC 20-700-20].
