Set out 6 pots in Topsail sound Thursday morning in 5 foot of water. Checked twice and pulled out Saturday morning. Only managed 18 crabs this time with just 9 keepers, No stone crabs this time. Think the moved out deep. Anyways always fun and ya can't catch them if your pots aren't in the  water.

Nice catch...9 crabs will eat well, you are so right. Can't catch'um from the couch. How was the weather, the day(s) you crabbed?

Hi Greg- weather was very nice Thursday and Friday- wind got up bad Thursday afternoon but overall not a bad day. Friday night a front came in and it rained but there was not a huge temperature difference. Will try again in a couple weeks and toss out more pots .

Slow crabbing in early March is better than no crabbing.
