Guess they released a snippet of it. From Jack
"APRIL 22, 2019: BLUE CRAB RESOURCE INFORMATION: Recent preliminary results from the Bay-wide blue crab winter dredge survey indicate a better blue crab stock condition in 2019, as compared to 2018. Preliminary abundance estimates of adult female and male blue crabs as well as juvenile crabs are substantially higher than in 2018. These preliminary data are currently under review, and a press release will be published once final 2019 estimates of abundance and the 2018 exploitation rate are available."

Just heard today on PBS that Maryland can expect an increase of 60% more crabs this year than last. That should mean substantially lower crab prices and 60% more crabbers out there this year. On some popular crabbing rivers on the upper Bay last year you could shoot a cannon down the river on Saturday morning and not hit boat .

I never saw a substantial influx of crabbers chasing dredge reports and flooding the bay. Perhaps I'm blind, I seriously have poor vision. I've been at the wye and had to walk what seemed like miles in the heat to retrieve my tow rig. But that's the why.
