As a recent transplant to Texas from New Jersey, I'm looking for some advice / spots to go for good crabbing

Any help from fellow TX crabbers would be appreciated - Thanks

I'm in the Austin area - Realize I will need to travel to the Gulf but was hoping to get some advice on where to go

Based on the fact that over 50 people viewed this and no one offers any spots I'm guessing it's tough going here in Texas

There are not a lot members down here. I crab out of Galveston but when I was a kid we would crab Palacios and Rockport areas. How will you be crabbing? With a boat or from shore?
I can help you with the Galveston area but you don't need drive that far. There are plenty crabs around Rockport and it is a beautiful area. I have not been down there since Harvey ravaged the area but heard the rebuilding is coming along.
Let me know how you will be crabbing and I will PM you some information about the Galveston area.

BJ1fish - Appreciate the reply

Unless there are any boat rental places, Right now I'll probably be looking from shore - The boat didn't make the move

I appreciate any info you can provide - Due to the distance I'm probably looking to do a weekend down that way
