First time dropping in boat and had some motor issues so got a later start than I wanted.  Top of the tide- Spent about an hour and a half dropping 15 rings with chicken legs and only managed 12 between 5-6" for the effort.  Had a bunch of large females and smaller crabs (2-3") which were released.  All crabs were very full.  Will be back at it these next couple of weekends and will report back.  Hopefully this weather warms up and dries out...

Nice report, hope your motor issue is resolved. Dozen crabs makes a meal, especially if they are full.  I'm with you on the weather getting better. Wind, rain, and I saw my breath early this morning, which is crazy for May 14th.

Sigh.

I'm starting to think that is his "away from the computer" auto response, because no one can be that repetitive. Not even Hannity.

Wanted to add, nothing wrong with releasing female crabs.  Most likely something you may have been doing since you started crabbing . I done it since I was a kid, now MD has instituted rules for recreational crabbers. no female crabs on the boat or in the basket.

MD is ahead of the other states about making sure female crabs are released for the future of crabs. Don't worry about"sigh" and others, just be the crabber you want to be. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Same sh*t different day with these broken records.

COME ON ALREADY!!!   How dumb!  After the trip is over is doesn't matter what you did!   It's just posted for the "look at me I'm wonderful.. aren't I" post... please validate me response?

It's history and invokes that same preachy sanctimonious windbag [curd] year after year after year after year after year!

As already stated this board becomes tiresome.  Crabbing is a break from all the PC A-holes telling you what to do.  At least it used to be here.

Always the same old posters complaining, it is getting old. Just can't read the post and congratulate the poster on his trip and what he did. Some are giving crabbers a bad name, plus ruining the reason BCA is so popular. It's about catching crabs, always has been.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Just go crabbing, the OP did.  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Sigh !
