With five metal ring traps and left over chicken from last week. Got there late at 6:45 to 8:30 am High tide and beginning of outgoing. I got one male crab (5.75") right after the first drop and didn't catch or see another crab while I was there! There was a commercial style trap tied off to the dock with no one around. That's risky and tempting theft! I could see two crabs in it; one good sized and one small. Another fella arrived when I was leaving with seven cotton ring traps baited with chicken. I talked with him for a while until his first lift. He got zero crabs and I wished him luck and left. I don't know if the place was hit hard on Saturday or not but I will wait a while until I return again!

What is interesting is that when I was crabbing (8am) was at high tide and it visibly soon changed to outgoing.
At Ponce Inlet high tide was at 9:46 am! There was no wind.   That mans an approximate 14 hour lag time with the tide? I thought Riverbreeze (not far away) was exact opposite tide of Ponce!
Tides are strange down that way!
