I took a look at the fishing dock this afternoon. Incoming tide at about 1pm.
Three crabbers from Deland and Deltona with 15 ring nets baited with chicken,
They were all friends with one another and only had two five gallon buckets between them. Each bucket had about 12 to 18 crabs mostly females. They stated they had been there since 5am! 7 hours crabbing and maybe 30 crabs from 15 ring nets. Perhaps a bit slow but they are getting enough crabs for a decent meal! Crab size was mostly 5 to 6".
They stated also that they had heard the dock was loaded, approximately 15, Asian crabbers all Friday night and they were keeping everything they caught regardless of size including egger females and Stone Crabs.
