Beautiful morning, started 2 hours into the dropping tide.  Cheesy
2 handlines with chicken necks. Skinned 40 pounds of those tidbits a few weeks ago.
Four hours later, about 50 Jimmy Jr's and Sallies. Not one keeper.  Lips Sealed
I thought I finally had a keeper, a big one, then...(see photo)
Stuck around for the turn, then as soon as the tide turned, the wind arrived.
I decided to hook an eel for striper bait (Sicilian for grilling it). I pulled up a
little crab with an eel harassing it. Amazing competition. Shook off the crab, hooked the eel,
then promptly cut the leader while trying to slit its throat. What a morning.  Roll Eyes
Not giving up, next expedition Friday.  Smiley

At the end of the day, it's not about how many fish or crabs you put in the cooler but about how many memories you put in your life and the lives of your "mates".

I saw his brother in the menunketesuck a couple days ago. My bunker got destroyed.

What we really need is for it to not rain for a while so the salt line moves north.

That's a cool pic of the turtle. Too bad that your luck couldn 't  have been better. Keep plugging away and I'm sure that you'll have that banner day yet.

I think they are molting . I went Sunday and got only 6 nice keepers but tons of shorts. Another week or two should prove better. Like Kieth says , if the rain stops we can get some salt back in the water
