I was surprised to see an improvement from the last 2 weeks  Shocked   Maybe they were molting like I guessed Smiley   Spent some time moving around from depth to depth, fighting eels and turtles and sweating  Undecided   Finally just when the outgoing tide started it got better.  Plenty of small ones but I noticed they were bigger on the average than they were 2 weeks ago.  THEN,  the bigger rusty crusty boys came around.  Cheesy Cheesy.  Ended the day with 10 from 5-7 inches.  It was a great day Grin Grin

Keep it up & enjoy.

Had a mess of lobsters last week, and you know what....no contest.

We just finished vacationing in a state north of you which I can not mention as to not incriminate myself Wink but we got six to ten crabs each morning that we went out. Hour to an hour and a half each day. Four hand lines. Keepers were 5&1/2 to 7". Rusty and very heavy. Totaled about 5 to 6 dozen in the two weeks we were there. Made for some great meals there and brought enough home to keep us until the Hudson picks up. Hope everyone has a bountiful season.

So glad that you got some to eat. If I don't get some crabs soon I am going to buy a bunch of lobsters, I am so hungry for sea food again !
