each time I get on the forum I find either threads are gone or deleted in part or entirely, or forum categories are missing! I was going to send the $100.00 for what would 20 years or a lifetime for me, but changed my mind and thought maybe $10.00 at a time would be better, after reevaluating not sure that's worth it either. this site could be gone in a year at the rate I see it going!  [good luck, nice catch,  better luck next time, enjoy your crabs, and all of that other small talk! oh ya and for heavens sake do not tell where the crabs are on a crab info site. east side, west side up a creek, down creek. lots of good info. oh I forgot the other famous one go find your own spot! I do not have a problem with commercial guys holding back info, but rec guys is another story.

Threads are deleted mainly because lately their has been a bickering issue and a topic gets off track so fast the moderators cut out the [curd].

A membership to the site won't put you on the crabs.  Think of it more as a "Thank You'' if this forum has helped you in any way.

You can't really blame people for not telling where the crabs are...I've seen first hand what specific information can do to a spot.

Also, make sure you didn't hit the little minus sign at the top of a specific board, it will minimize it.

And if I remember correctly, doesn't ALL contributions during any time get deducted from the Life Time?

My vote for a "Like" Button.

Yes, whatever you contribute will get deducted from the cost of a Lifetime membership. A "Like" button is coming. I plan to upgrade the forum over the winter to new software that is mobile friendly, easier to upload photos, and a slew of other new and improved features.

With an active owner of the forum and mods who apply the rules set up, BCA will have a long future. Considering it has just under 30,000 people who have viewed BCA in it's lifetime. A few posters complaining will not be the end of BCA. Thinking some who stopped posting may return also. I hope so. I'll donate some more to keep it going.

This is a great crabbing forum for those that love this hobby. None better.

I have to admit that's funny.  laugh

But, all jokes aside, I have no doubt that this forum will be around for a long time. Things are cyclical around here, things run smoothly then we get drama. The drama leaves (voluntarily or forcefully) and things run smoothly again. If I'm not mistaken, we're on our third cycle now. Maybe fourth.

Jack wants a "like" button, Ray wants a "nap" button, I want a "lock" button because where there is smoke (drama), in context, fire (drama) is forthcoming and can be averted.  I hope to be with you all for a 5th gen of BCA as fellow crabber, technician and friend.

This forum doesn't need a "like" button. Unless you are trying to cater to teenagers who live their lives for them. I don't use any social media(except this), but have heard that even Instagram wants to do any with them.

A like button would be a good thing.  Most forums now have them. Itís a way to show how many agree with a statement.  Another site I am on downeastboatforum has like buttons, itís a good site.
