New Smyrna Beach North Causeway Buena Vista Park 7-28-2019

I stopped at the park on Sunday. Not many fisherman on the north dock, unusual for a Sunday, and only one crabber on the south dock. He was using 7 oversize ring traps baited with lots of chicken in each trap. He had legs, thighs and breasts on each trap! He said he had been there since 6:30 am and it was now 2 pm. 8 hours with only about  8   5" crabs to show for it!  I think he should have stayed home and BBQ the chicken! It's too bad.
High tide was 5:25 am so he was crabbing an outgoing tide and may have been part of his problem!

Thanks for the report.  Tempted to try my luck Saturday but it seems so slow.  I have been basically getting skunked at Goodrich's and NSB doesnt seem much better after reading your reports.
