Started out at Goodrich’s around 8:00 am. Was catching a lot of crabs just all smalls.  Stayed until about 9:30 as there was a turtle that kept stealing my necks. This is this second time this has happened to me at this location!  I then drove down to riverbreeze. Was able to get 4 keepers all females which I ended up throwing back. Only stayed for about an hours as the pier was packed with a boy scout outing. Will try again maybe next weekend.

I must have just missed you at both locations! I arrived at Goodriches about 10 and only saw two fisherman who weren't doing well. I then went to Riverbreeze. No boy scouts but one crabber who said he had been there since 7:30 and had about 20 crabs. I saw his cooler and only saw about 12 - 15 crabs 3.5 to 5 inches. He said he was using the smaller carbs for bait. He also said he was heading to New Smyrna next.
What kind of turtle was taking your baits? Snapper or terrapin? I haven't seen that in the area.

It was a soft shell turtle I believe.  Figured I would stop out yesterday before the storm, caught 5 in about an hours, Mostly 5-5.5, and ended up catching a keeper mangrove snapper.  I stopped by riverbreeze on my way home and caught another 6 keepers, a mix of both males and females.  I was fishing in between pulls and ended up catching a 19 inch redfish.  Should make for a good meal!
