Started crabbing at 1pm started really slow waiting for the incoming tide.nothing touched my bait but saw 3
Just walking by. I lost the 1st one but managed to scoop up the other 2 then it went quiet till about 4. Between 4:00 and 5:30 it lit up I caught about a
Dozen 8 of which were keepers so in all ended up with 10 keepers between 5 1/2Ē to 7Ē.

Nice! Put something under the crabs to keep them out of the ice water... they will drown if they sit in the water..donít want to lose any of that precious cargo

Does anyone know whatís up with Eel Pond? I went there last week and everything was blocked off. There doing some work there. Looks like a few trees were taken down thereís a sign that said trail closed.

Yup, they are extending the Phoenix Rail Trail bike path that starts in Fairhaven and ends on Mattapoisett Neck Road all the way through the YMCA there and along the eel pond road.  Should be really nice when done, but I fear some of my nice quiet and clean crabbing spots will be packed and riddled with trash soon because they will be more easily accessible now.
