I took a drive down to Canaveral Nat'l Seashore to a spot and set up by 7;30 with 5 ring traps with necks. one hour and not a sigle crab!
I did catch one 6" Softshell Turtle (Apalone ferox).
I then drove north to Goodricsshes and was setup by 8:30. After one hour I had 7 male crabs when everything just shut down!
I again drove north to Riverbeeze and setup therel  After 1/2 hour with nothing to show for the effort I drove home to steam the seven crabs I caught.
I saw no other crabbers just a few fishermen. Not a great day but better than if I had stayed home!
It was high tide with a stiff wind (20mph)  out of the southeast.

Thanks for the report.  I have been experiencing the same thing at Goodrich's..things seem to be steady for a bit then completely shut off.  As for Riverbreeze, I have found that location to be fairly steady, so i'm wondering if the conditions had something to do with it.  I hope you enjoyed those crabs!

When I was at Goodriches there were two sherriffs cars out front with a female in custody, cuffed and seated in the roadway. Find out later on gthe news she stabbed a guy inside! He did not survive! Supposed to be a domestic issue.
