I love crabbing this time of year. It's the best and not many people on the water.
Headed out just after low tide 10 am with 28 traps baited with CN. Water Depth 5-7 feet. Had the best first run of the season.... 18 keepers. Most around 6" with a few jumbo's thrown in the mix. Had very little throw backs and only a 2 females. Averaged about a dozen keeprs per run until the last 2 runs with it slowed down a bit. Off the water a little after 1 with a nice bushel. Will be going out again next weekend.
