Ready for the rut?

Who is ready for the rut? I would think it should start pretty soon. I have seen a lot of dead deer but I think that is from more cars driving at dusk when the deer are moving around. I have only seen small does mostly dead on the side of the road. I hope to get out tomorrow after work and next Saturday. I was planning on hunting Nov. 9th when I know the rut will be in full swing but I was told I have to work. I hope to get a day off during the week to hunt. I haven't had any cameras running but how about you. Any shooters around?

pre rut is better to hunt then rut it's self. during pre rut you can hunt the travel areas between feeding area and bedding because the bucks will also be sniffing those areas. once the does start to get the smell the buck like they will be right behind the does all the time which makes too many eyes watching .

I hunted Monday And saw 1 shooter but it was to far away. Had a decent 8 pointer infront of me but let him go. I know there are bigger ones. Had a buck making a rub and saw 3 bucks following does around. I will be hunting Friday and Saturday. The rut has started in my woods.

Have you guys been seeing a lot less does this time of year. Those bucks must be chasing those does so much they leave the area or just move at night. Hunted 3 time last week and did not see that much. Missed a nice buck but only saw 3 small bucks 1 day and 1 small buck another time and 1 day nothing. Before the rut I would see around 15 deer. Not all in shooting range but they would be around. Now it's slim pickings until Dec.
