Launched, got to our spot, set out 1200 ft baited with chicken necks and 1 head. Started about 7:30 stopped at 11:30, caught 2 bushels ( lid benders)1 bushel of 6 1/4+ other nothing under 5 3/4. I would say best depth was 20-22’. Had a rookie  with me and he did all the dipping, due to my surgery. After about half of the first run, he had it down pat. After we pulled gear tried some rock fishing- natta. Crabs are packed with meat.

Great catch!!!  Rookie had a blast I bet!  Missing crabs is bothersome to us all.  Hours and days days later I'm always thinking about the one that zagged left when I thought he'd go right and clipped the rim of the net.  Swear it was a 10" state record.   laugh

When the rookie misses their first big one, our go to line is,  Man that was the biggest one I have ever seen! All in good fun of course😄.

My go-to is, "miss another like that and you're swimming back to the dock".  All in good fun as well.  Great report!   laugh
