Hello all

I am head to Nags Head in outer banks in Aug.  Any good spots?  I have 10 topless traps, but I am probably not bring my boat down.  Hope to do some fishing too, but mostly crabbing.

Also do I need to get a license down there? I see somthing about Jan 2007.

Are there and good map sites of the water depths down there?

Thanks!  Let me know if you ever come to MD!  We can crab up here!

I don't know if you got your question answered at the other site but I'll answer it here for you.  In the great state of NC, you don't have to have a saltwater license until Jan. 07.  The DNR site is very confusing so I called and asked...no recreational license required until then.  Just make sure you print out the size/catch limits because you are VERY likely to be checked!

As far as crabs, 5 inches and 50 crabs per person/100 crabs per vessel per day!

Happy fishin'!
