I have heard that the white perch run is just starting. I have always heard of a good run at Blackwater. Does anyone know when they start running or if they are catching them there yet? Wouldn't mind catching a few snakeheads as well. I know that place gets crowded with people fishing for snakeheads.

They are in the Choptank, kept about 25 last Saturday, launched in Greensboro and went towards Denton. Might be at red bridges this weekend if the water temps are right. I would think they are running at Blackwater. Good luck if you go.

What size did you catch? Nice job on the perch. I like to eat and use them for crabbing bait.

Most were in the 10 inch range, went down to red bridges Friday after work caught some more, but most were to small to keep.
