Ok hard headed I am but back at it. Crabs wore me out this week moving pots and trying to keep enough bait. Set out 12 pots and did awful on Thursday morning pull so I relocated some and set out again. I checked again Thursday evening and did a tad better so let them sit. Friday morning pull was not as good as I liked so I repositioned them again. Anyways I am unsure of the water temp this time. The Surf temp is 67-68. I set out all the pots in around 4-5 foot of water. Total count of 5 pulls was 218 crabs caught, 51 keepers, 3 flounder,  2 stone crabs- both small. Had fun but was a lot more work this time .  Stay safe !

Good catch! I'll  use frozen bottles in a cooler next time I'll go for keeper crabs.

The frozen bottles seem to work very well for me- keeps my crabs alive and fresh and keeps the water off of them when they thaw out- I do replace them every 12 hours
