Set out 10 pots Friday morning June 26th and pulled all 10 Saturday morning- June 27th. Set in 3-5 foot of water- trying to copy depths where I saw the majority of pots. Still very slow- Caught 71 total crabs with 21 keepers  in 3 pulls approx 12 hours apart.  Had 2 small stone crabs, 2 pin fish, and 2 flounder- one was over 16 inches- and yes released. From what I am hearing in the Topsail/ Surf City area everyone is having a much slower year than normal. Will keep at it - Best of luck to you all and have a GREAT and above all- SAFE 4th holiday .

Indeed- trying beats not trying at all. Having a rough year so far as I hear a lot of others are as well. Tried different bait with very similar results- depth doesn't seem to help either. Not sure what to do differently but I will keep trying to figure it out. Hard to find a new area as I am pretty much limited to access areas. I have moved a couple pots to a new area and that hasn't been producing much either.
