Finally made it back out again. The Bay Bridge was backed up and didn't get to the ramp until 1. Got lucky and got a spot in the lot. Tried upriver with 20 Perfectionist rings baited with half necks in the usual 6'-8' since they were finally there 2 weeks ago. Wasted 2 hours trying different spots but they weren't there this time. Pulled up the rings and headed way down river. They were there from the start. Another 2 hours out there and wound up with 3/4 bushel. They were in the 7' range. Tried deeper just out of curiosity and nothing. It was sure a lot easier without those metal traps we took last time. Now if only the heat would let up.

The forecast I saw shows a break in the 90+ degree temperatures after the first week or so in August.  I am ready for it.
