On a "will it catch" youtube short, commercial crabber Luke McFadden used jellyfish in a pot and it caught three times as many crabs as his control trap baited with shrimp heads. Surprisingly the jellyfish held up well in the trap.

Will definitely add it to the list of things I find hard to imagine.  Seems we could test this locally.

I used this bait in my crab pots that my cousin Vinnie used to give me.  It came in 5 gallon buckets.  Caught like crazy.  Little did I know my cousin Vinnie was a hit man. Shocked

This is how it's going to go.  After I kick your A$$ i'm going to run you through the wood chipper and put you in containers in the freezer to use in my crab pots!  The really sad part?  You let an old man kick your A$$!!!

Tried some ground deermeat in 5 orange bags in traps near the end of October at Rocky Point.  They were spread between other traps with necks. Pulled em bout 8 times and never got a crab in any of those 5 traps. Got crabs in just about all the trap on either side of em.  The worst thing was trying to clean the meat out of the bags when we were finished.  Won't be doing that again.
