Fair weather Friday 9-25 nearly an all nighter

I wanted to get out at the end of high tide on the 25th and get to the south side of thatch bed island but I messed up on the tide charts, my bad. I got on the water in Essex at 7pm ish and paddled to the south side of thatch bed island. All of the cabbage and grass in that area was covered with at least 4 feet of water. I picked up 6 nice sized crabs from the inlet to the back section of the south side and poked around till the water went down. I watched a lot of tic tok videos to pass the time. At around 11 pm the water was low enough to see the bottom to be able to make out the crabs. For the next 2.5 hours I was poking around scooping some nice crabs. They ranged in size from 5.25 to 7.5 inches. And y2 just molted 7 inchers. I counted 72 nice crabs when I got home. Not too bad for an older dude doing what i love to do. When the neighbors see the beast on the car they know in the morning I will be stopping by with some cooked and cleaned crab for them. I got great neighbors! Be safe, Dan

Love the report... Wish we could dip at night down in Maryland... Seems like a blast
Great that you can get 7" crabs up your way... nothing better than a few of those mumbos, Enjoy!!

A guy walks into a seafood store carrying a crab,
and he asked the owner, "Do you make crab cakes?"
The owner said, "Yes we do."...
So the guy said, "Good, because it's his birthday."

Lol thanks Sean, I prefer the evenings, far less people, less of a chance getting hit by another boat in 4-18 inches of water.
